What is my therapeutic approach?

Person-Centered & Focusing Psychotherapy

Person-Centered Psychotherapy is based on the belief that every individual has an innate capacity for growth, development, and self-actualization. The therapist's role is to provide a safe environment through three fundamental principles:

Unconditional positive regard: Respect and acceptance of the person without judgment.

Empathy: A deep understanding of the other’s experience from their own perspective.

Authenticity: The therapist is genuine and present in the therapeutic relationship.

Focusing-Oriented Psychotherapy emphasizes bodily experience as a guide to deeper self-awareness. People often feel emotions that they cannot fully express in words. Focusing helps in recognizing these “felt senses” and connecting with them in a way that leads to meaningful understanding and change.

My approach integrates these two models, allowing space and time for each individual’s unique experience, without pressure or predetermined solutions. The goal is to enhance self-awareness, understand emotions, and foster personal growth through an authentic, supportive relationship.
